Windows XP
Step 1:
Open the Windows XP Control Panel. The Control Panel is accessible by clicking the "Start" button, then clicking the "Control Panel" icon.
Step 2:
Within the Windows XP Control Panel, click the "Network and Internet
Connections" icon.
Step 3:
Click the "Create a connection to the network at your workplace" option.
This process will start the Network Connection Wizard.
Step 4:
Make sure the "Dial-up connection" option is selected.. Click the "Next" button when finished.
Step 5:
Select a device to use. This should be the modem to be used to dial the internet. Click the "Next" button to continue.
Step 6:
Enter a name for the connection. A valid example would be "EmsaNet". Click the "'Next" button to continue
Step 7:
Enter the phone number to dial the internet. Check our POP List page for the dialup number of your location.
Click the "Next" button to continue.
Step 8:
Select the "Anyone's use" option. This will prevent different users from repeating the same steps more than once. Click the "Next" button to continue.
Step 9:
Select the "Add a shortcut" option if you wish to create a shortcut to the connection on the Windows XP desktop. Click the "Finish" button to conclude the connection wizard.
